The lecture is addressed to students in the BSc/MSc Program in Physics (Allgemeines Vertiefungsfach), to students in the MSc "Computer Simulation in Science", as well as to students from related fields of science. Knowledge from the lecture 'Introduction to Nuclear and Particle Physics' (EP4a) or "Introduction to Particle- and Astroparticle Physics" (GETA) is not compellingly necessary but helpful for a deeper understanding of the subject.
