The focus in this course on the development of digital networks and information and communication technology dynamics. Economic and technological evolution as well as options of regulatory policy are analyzed. The role of digital convergence, network effects and competition in integrated markets is reflected on the basis of theoretical approaches and selected empirical findings. The impacts on digital services markets and on growth in ICT markets as well as digital divide issues are discussed. Thus we get a deeper understanding of digital world economics and economic transactions in networked markets.
